A longtime employee of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation, Redding, CT, resident David Bohn has served as the company’s president for over two decades. Outside of his activities as a business executive, David Bohn supports several organizations in Redding, CT, including New Pond Farm.
An outdoor learning center and model for responsible land use, the 102-acre New Pond Farm offers a variety of education programs throughout the year. From September to June, the farm hosts more than 5,000 local students who come to the property for school field trips.
Based on Science Framework Content Standards, New Pond Farm’s school field trip programs educate students about the local environment and demonstrate how a working farm operates. The programs are hands-on and feature age-appropriate activities for students four years old and up.
